today i met natalie... (monday i only met sophia). so. tiny.
while watching marina love up on her new little ones, i wondered how the bond between a close biological mother and daughter feels. (i was adopted.) there seems to be so much of an intimate connection developed during those first days...

funny you should aslk. i dont know if your friend received any injections of sorts during labor or birth, but a study was done on one of the chemicals they sometimes use to induce labor or stimulate milk production, oxytocin, i think it was. anyhow they gave non pregnant mice injections of oxytocin and the mice proceeded to become very maternal and try to like nurse wood chips and such. very interseting!
